Subj: MINUTES FROM DECEMBER CHAPTER THREE ASSOCIATION OF AVIATION ORDNANCE MEETING.

1. Below are the minutes of the January meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Minutes from December’s meeting were read and with below corrections were accepted unanimously.
a. David Michel announced that Harold Gilmore lost his wife Doris.
b. Correction to spelling of Jean’s name.
2. Treasurer report was read and accepted unanimously.
3. Volunteers are needed to help refurbish the picnic tables at VFW. They already have the material to complete the project. Waiting on weather.
4. On January 17, 2006 the president will be going to the National Convention planning meeting in Laughlin, NV.
5. Joel Clayton announced that the Association Taco Feed has been changed to spaghetti but the date, time and place are still the same.
NEW BUSINESS
1. David Michel announced that former Chapter 3 member Harry Engle died on Friday January 6th in Vancouver, WA.
3. Jean from the Help House gave Chapter 3 a thank you letter for all the great work performed.
4. Chaplain Joel Clayton addressed that if you know of anybody who is not doing so well or is struggling to get the data to him so he can get the information.
5. President Jim Irwin is going to Laughlin, NV for the 2006 Symposium/Convention planning meeting, if you have anything for him to take with him to address please do.
6. Subject matter expert was James Ausman, who gave an excellent brief on Shipboard weapons loaders and shipboard weapons transporters.
7. Digger O’Dell announced that Red Kettles made $43,262.00 dollars this year. Also on Sat. 4 Mar 06 at 0700 there will be an air rifle shoot at the Oak Harbor High School for the NJROTC, range officer’s and scorer’s are badly needed. Gunner Ausman has for action.
8. Angela Sobieski brought up the fact that there are no briefers from the VFW/Chapter Three included with base Indoc. All in attendance agreed that the VFW/Chapter Three should provide some sort of brief.
9. James Ausman won the 50/50 of $29.00 and donated it to two new memberships’ he forgot to get his $.50 so that portion went back to the chapter (Thanks Gunner).
10. The next meeting will be 1700, February 8th at the VFW.
